I certainly was hoping to hear something from you or Chris (Pal2tech) regarding this update. You and Chris are two of the only “straight shooters” regarding Fujifilm gear that I feel can truly trust.

I really hope so. Had my sons birthday this weekend and the x-t5 had difficulty getting my sons face in focus. Some of the restaurant staff joined in singing out of the blue so I couldn’t stop filming and make them redo it. I have the memory but incredibly out of focus.

I sure hope so! My X100V has better eye detect than my XT5. I just focus the way you describe in your latest video. I call it “5D Mark III style.” It works. For now. Hurry up, Fuji!

This is the third time they "fixed the autofocus". I don't believe it anymore.

I lost faith already. I love my X100V, but only when I use it, now I’m not even asking anyone else to take photos of me with my camera because I’ll know the results. I’ll wait a decade and see if Fuji gets improved. I can’t with other brands colors or usability either. I give up.

Here's the deal. I have the X-S20 and it is a great camera. Love the colors it produces, love how the RAW files edit, love the features and battery life this little thing packs, and love the video recording specs (even though I am a rookie on the video aspect of things), but if they don't fix the autofocus by year end, I will be switching to a Canon R6 Mark II or similar. I don't need Canon and Sony level autofocus, but I do want the AF features I paid for to work. It's that simple. Fuji has the hardware in their 5th gen chips to make this work, now they need the software and programming to come together with that hardware. Please make it happen Fuji. Enough of the marketing BS.
