According to Robert Pattinson's interview with GQ, the first Batman took eighteen months to shoot, albeit delayed by the pandemic. Therefore, a conservative estimate might give another three to six months of shooting, plus post-production, by which point, it would already be well into 2024, if not 2025. This is assuming that the stars align and everyone is available at the same time. Pattinson, for his part, has at least one other upcoming project on the books: his leading role in Bong Joon-ho's adaptation of the sci-fi book Mickey7.
There is one bit of good news: The Batman producer Dylan Clark reckons it could land within the next half decade and, in fact, he seems quite sure of that. “I will go on record and say that it will be less than five years,” he told ComicBook.com at a red carpet event back in March.
