Honestly if the chao garden was a mobile game ID actually give it a go. Sega is really sleeping on this

I used to leave my GameCube on over night. Then when ever I did that, I found a bunch of New Chao’s and some of my Chao’s reincarnated too. It was neat.

The dark garden functions a bit differently!
In the dark garden, chao only evolve through feeding, not time passing. So if you're raising chao in the dark garden, you need to feed them OFTEN.
Additionally, chao evolve twice as fast in the hero garden. So if you want your chao to evolve more quickly, I recommend raising them there instead of the other two gardens. (The native fruit in the hero garden is better anyway. It increases stamina way faster than fruit from the neutral and dark gardens.)

The Chao Garden is an awesome side addition to the main games, and as much as I’d love a standalone game, idk how it would work. I can see something like Pokémon GO doing really well though, maybe as you walk you get animals/chaos drives to give them and the pokestops could be shops or schools you can drop them off at.

Recently evolved a Hero Running 2-Tone chao that had a bunch of Pink Rabbit body parts.
After the evolution to an adult, I noticed the Pink Rabbit body parts turned Yellow! The Chao's accents were also yellow (the halo over it's head).
I'm curious if this is normal, and I'm also scared to put any different animals on him, because it looks kinds dope.

I’d love a more in depth look of the different changes Chao go through even after evolving like what happens if I give my Power hero chao more flying drives the power.
I just started replaying SA2B (this time on Xbox and got addicted to the Chao Garden again starting everything from scratch

Nice I typed up a steam guide on this topic. If your looking to evolve them and you insist on being there not leaving and coming back feeding them makes them evolve faster. It's slow but if your really feeding them it knocks off a ton of time.

The last part is a bit mistaken. If you gave your chao 100 pow drives then 100 run drives you'd end up with a run-type chao. it takes 20 drives of a type to max out the slider from 0, so when you give your chao the pow drives 80 of those drives don't effect the slider because it's already maxed out. Then when you switch to run drives the first 20 bring you back to balanced, then 20 more to max out the slider for run-type, then the last 60 do nothing for the slider.
