वाल्मीकि रामायण के युद्धकाण्ड के बाद फलश्रुति गा दी गई है. फलश्रुति किसी भी ग्रंथ के अंत में ही होती है. श्लोक 107 से 125 तक फलश्रुति गाई गई है. इतने विस्तृत निष्कर्ष के बाद फिर से एक नई कहानी शुरू होने का कोई तुक ही नहीं बनता.
युद्धकांड के अंत में फलश्रुति का होना इस बात का प्रमाण देता है कि वाल्मीकि जी ने रामायण को यहीं तक लिखा था, क्योंकि अगर महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी ने उत्तरकाण्ड लिखा होता तो वे फलश्रुति को युद्धकाण्ड के अंत में देने की बजाय उत्तरकाण्ड के अन्त में देते.
एवमेतत् पुरावृत्तमाख्यानाम् भद्रमस्तु वः। प्रव्याहरत् विस्त्रब्धम् बलम् विष्णा प्रवर्धताम्।।
"यह कथा संपन्न हुई. इसका गायन करने वाले तथा इसका श्रवण करने वाले सभी का कल्याण हो."
अब जब कथा संपन्न हो गई तो फिर अचानक से उत्तर रामायण कहां से आ गया?

खैर, उत्तर रामायण को ठीक से पढ़ने से स्पष्ट पता चल जाता है कि इस काण्ड के कई सर्ग वाल्मीकि जी द्वारा लिखे हुए ही नहीं हैं. इस बात के सबूत आज कई लोगों ने दिए हैं. ये सबूत केवल इस बात से नहीं हैं कि उत्तरकाण्ड के कई सर्ग पिछले कांडों का समर्थन नहीं करते. दरअसल, अगर ध्यान से पढ़ो तो वाल्मीकि रामायण के उत्तरकाण्ड में जगह-जगह वे शब्द और व्याकरण ज्यादा देखने को मिलते हैं, जो आज से लगभग 2000 साल पहले केवल बौद्धों के समय से ही प्रचलन में आए हैं.

This is a controversial story which was added to the Original Valmiki Ramayana in medieval times. Shloka structure and word selection are quite different in the later parts of the Uttarakhand. But without any linguistic analysis, I’ll prove why and how Shambuka Vadh doesn’t fit with the Ramayan’s morals, and why this story and its morals goes against Vedas and Puranic morals.
The story mentions Shri Ram using Pushpak Viman to find Shambuk, however, it’s clearly mentioned in Yudhkand that the Viman was returned to Shri Kuber, who was the original owner of the Pushpak Viman. [Valmiki Ramayan: Yudhkand 127/62]
Valmiki Ramayan also mentions Mata Sabari, who was also Shudra from birth, but she revered as one of the most respected Tapaswi. If Shudra were not allowed to do penance in Tretayug, then why Maa Sabari was allowed?
Mahabharat Anugita Parv 91/37 clearly states that Brahman, Chhatriya, Vaishya and Shudra, all achieve Heaven by penance. [Mahabharat: Anugita Parv 91/3]
In the Shambuk story, a Brahmin man lost his son because a Shudra was doing penance. But Geeta and Vedas clearly state that good/bad, happiness/suffering, success/failure are all caused by the person’s Karma (acts). So this is also faulty?
Shri Ram eats at various Shudra people’s homes. He calls Nishad Raj a friend and ally. In Ram Charitmanas, Shri Ram gives Bhakti Gyan to Maa Sabari (Navadha Bhakti), Kewat compares his profession to Shri Ram’s profession, all these beautiful stories clearly shows that Ram didn’t discriminate.
6. Yajurved states that Shudra is a man who possesses the qualities of a brave, hardworking, loyal man, and one who does the hardest of the work.
Geeta (14.3) states
catur-varnyam maya srstam
guna-karma-vibhagasah
tasya kartaram api mam
viddhy akartaram avyayam
that all Varnas are defined by Guna (talent) and Karma (Act). It’s not by birth. I can go on about all the great people who were Shudra but became of Chhatriya, Brahman by work. In King Janak’s Sabha, Rishi Yagyawalk clearly said that a Brahman is defined by his work, not by his birth. Same goes for every other.
This story of Shambuk is a later addition, most likely by people in authority to fulfill their selfish desires, and who wanted to dilute the Vedic tradition. It’s an interpolation. Millions of Rakshash with a horrible motive used to do Tapasya, and they all received their wishes because the world is Karma Pradhan. The story of Shambuk is a big lie, don’t fall for it.
