The man invented a amazing backpack. On top of the backpack, there are several giant balloons filled with helium. Because the balloons are huge, and there are 3 to 4 balloons on top of the backpack simultaneously, when you're hiking with the backpack, you won't feel the weight of the backpack at all. If you're very light, you might even feel like you're walking lightly because the lift from the balloons could be greater than your weight.
