My school has lockers but very few people other than freshmen use them. I do actually have a locker, but I don't go to it between each class. I keep my first aid kit, snacks, and some extra pencils in my locker, I keep it unlocked, and all my friends know where it is and that they're always allowed to take whatever they need. I also occasionally put my backpack in there if I'm going off campus and not bringing it, in which case I do lock it.

My high school had lockers, but it was for freshman only, because my school had 1200+ students. (although In sophomore year I begged really nicely for one because I needed a place to put my sports bag)

My high school has been renovating because of so many new families moving into new editions, so they expanded the school but now they donโt have enough lockers or parking spaces. People can volunteer to give up their locker if they just carry their backpack around. Terrible for school shootings but great for efficiency

We had lockers but absolutely no backpacks allowed outside of coming and going from school. So most of us had to carry books for half the day and switch them out later for the other half ๐ I just used one binder and one notebook for everything to save my arms a bit

In my High School, we had lockers for every grade. Each grade was assigned to a different area for our lockers. Freshmen and Sophomores in the basement and Juniors and Seniors on the main floor. Almost everyone used them everyday. Except the kids who has to go to opposite sides of the building for almost every class. It would take 3 minutes to walk for those kids

Same thing here in Brazil, most schools don't have it for highschool nor for middle school, in my last highschool(i transfered in junior year to a different school)and they had lockers but you had to pay to used them(safe to say i didn't).
I can see why you didn't like them but not having to carry 6 -> 8 pounds of books and/or notebooks all day would have been a bless!๐ข

My school, once they expanded and built a 2nd building (k-12, first building and portables was k-6 the 2nd was 7-12) decided that it's bad or inappropriate or evil or whatever for middle schoolers to have a backpack in the classroom. They had to carry EVERYTHING in their arms, with backpacks stored in their lockers. So fucking glad I was almost out of that hellhole by that time.

I live in Canada and my high school ( grade 10-12) has lockers but just not enough there are over 2000 students in the school and even though its a pretty big school the lockers are small and you have to share 1 locker between two people thatโs why most people usually just prefer to carry around their backpacks/ belongings.

In all the schools I've been, the lockers were never used because we didn't have enough time. Although almost every teacher lets you keep your notebooks in their class and most people in my school just don't carry a backpack either.

I had lockers in my high school! I used them only in my freshman year and I never used them again after that. And there were lockers in my middle school too, but I think that those lockers were for the faculty and staff members of the school
