A small correction. They were not colonies, they were viceroyalties of Spain. The viceroyalty was due to the fact that the Native Americans who survived the colonization were given rights.

It’s funny how you say “government inefficient”
When actually they have a clown of a king, who gave everything to Napoleon just for being the wrong person in the most important job at the moment.

And the British interference? No one gained so much as London with this collapse

The collapse was way before those things.. it starts after death Charles de 2nd with no inheritance and the Spanish Succession War where the wealth was reparted between France and England in the Ultrech treat in 1714. France got the crown to the Bourbons and England the monopoly of the seas..

The Roman Empire did not end in Constantinople, the Roman Empire ended with the collapse of the Spanish Empire. Hispania was an extremely important Roman province. Hispania was the most Romanized province in the Roman Empire. All inhabitants of Hispania were granted Roman citizenship. Hispania stopped the Arabs from taking over Europe. Hispania was the most important protector of the Vatican. The Spanish empire is the real Holy Roman Empire.

Spain only had a colony in Africa in 1900s. American territories were VICEROYALTIES

Actually you can attribute most of the problems to the Spanish empire when the Bourbons took over from the habsburgs. The bourbon reforms created so much dissatisfaction within the empire that it lost its cohesion by the time Napoleon had invaded.

Este video es un insulto histĂłrico, los britĂĄnicos interfirieron para que america entrara en una guerra civil y todos los demas aprovecharon el momento, es decir fue consecuencia de la envidia de los demĂĄs

You meant “Spanish viceroyalties” not “colonies”

Speaking of the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, I recently discovered a scene from “Redo of Healer” that literally pays homage to Goya’s painting “The Third of May 1808 in Madrid”. I never thought that a degenerate ecchi isekai anime would reference the 19th century invasion of my country. 💀

The English. The empire was run well which is why it lasted 300 to 400 years. The first world empire and the first globalization connecting Asia to America to Europe. The English used the French invasion to help the upper classes revolt against the central government. So the answer is the English, the English, the English.
