Staining white oak stair treads using a stain and glaze combination. Its a staining process that starts with a stain base coat, a layer of our Old Masters finish, followed by or glaze, then we use a large putty knife to really get the glaze in the grain, we then buff the glaze off, then we hit it with a sanding block and finally our next layers of finish. I love the Old Masters products especially the finish that we add their hardener into to really make it strong and durable on the stairs.
