The Mini Mag was my EDC flashlight of choice for many years. I have several well used examples. I remember when it was a big deal to replace the incandescent bulb with an LED. Great idea to repurpose the case. The T1 is a great little tuner (and not easy to get your hands on).

My minimags always came clamshell packaged. I never had one with a hardcase.
Either way, theyve all given way to LEDs from various manufacture...surefire, streamlight, olight.....

I bought a Mini Maglite in 2022 to go in my Rite in the Rain notebook cover, partly for nostalgic reasons, as I first had a Maglite in about 1987! While we're all used to LED flashlights nowadays, white LEDs were pretty much unheard of back then, so the (relatively) bright light from a Maglite bulb was something of a revelation. I am told by those who know that while larger Maglites are handy for hitting people, the smaller models, when applied to the thumb and squeezed, can be quite persuasive as well.
As I live in a village which gets the occasional power cut and start work before 6am, I'm rarely out without at least one flashlight...

Remember when Mini mag lights were the go to torch. I bought an led mini mag light from a PX. It went everywhere with me on board... if you got a torch.... you got a chance.

Small plastic pencil cases might work, and might be cheaper.
