That cone needs to go in a memorial to those road workers who died in the incident.

Perhaps a fitting memorial could be made out of bronze depicting some members of the bridge crew on a portion of the actual road surface and cone? It could be erected near the replacement bridge/tunnel approaches for all to see and remember.

Yeah that cone definitely humanizes the whole thing. Realizing that just a matter of hours before a man had set that thing on the road and at the end of his shift had expected to pick it back up makes you aware of the human element in this whole tragedy.

I remember a strom that hit the airfield Aachen. There was a row of garages, that was ripped from the foundation and came to rest 100 m down the road. In one of the garages was the wing of a glider aircraft, the owner was doing maintenance on.
It kept in place without being tide down in anyway and didn't even get a scratch.
2 motorcycles the next garage over were less lucky.

Thanks again , Sal. You keep us informed in more logical detail.

How is the family? I have not seen pictures since I met you in Houston at the Port. I’m 79 yo F now so obviously retired and moved back to Illinois to make sure my folks did not pass away in a Nursing Hime. It all worked out.

I drove on that every day for 28 years. Now I'm glad I don't commute, 'cause it's a mess.

Man, this gives flashbacks of the skyway bridge collapse in St. Petersburg all those years ago.

all this could have been avoided if "FENDERS" were built surrounding each support entering the water....

They moved the ship to the port with the road still across it. They also found stolen vehicles in some of those crushed containers

The ship’s crew is still stuck on the boat. It’s been 7weeks. With no way to talk to family back home.

Turn it all into a tourist attraction . At least it will be the first time tourists ever came to Baltimore .
