Amen! I cant stand these so called "discernment ministries". Breaking down brothers and sisters in Christ and dividing the body of Christ over secondary issues is foolish!! They should use their platforms to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations. These are the modern day pharisees.

The Bible is the final authority though. What people say is not.
For example the people who teach that Genesis teaches anything other than a literal 6 days of creation is teaching are teaching a false theology.

The ultimate authority of theology IS the bible, not interpretation of the bible, and also not Melissa, but I certainly respect her thoughts. What you seem to think are secondary issues are very important to address because they $O Couse division.

I'm glad to be Catholic. Individual people tend to want to interpret scripture differently to justify their sins and viewpoints. It's good to have a central authority which has already settled these issues.

Couldn't disagree more with this guy. Scripture is truth. Your interpretation means nothing. What God says is the issue. State the gospel that Jesus is the only way and you will see people's heads explode. That is not a secondary issue. Apparently he isn't aware of the gift of discernment.

Hmm, not a good take in my opinion mate,
We interpret the Bible differently sometimes. Other times, itâs very straight forward, such as then Jesus says to be His follower, you must deny yourself - Thatâs very straight forward.
There is nothing wrong in Melissa saying itâs okay to teach bad theology, bang on no flaw in that statement by itself.

This is a really great clip. And great point that the Church addressed the serious issues in creeds. The fact is, no two Christians agree 100% on EVERYTHING. It takes a whole lot more maturity to be willing to overlook these things and maintain a spirit of unity than to constantly be fighting and devouring one another.
