This is so smart! The one thing I would be worried about as a student however is being embarrassed when getting a redo slip on my paper. I feel like it’s like when your peers see a bad grade on a test you get back or being given a piece of paper with a list of missing assignments right in front of your classmates. It might be effective but idk I might find this embarrassing. That could just be my social anxiety though ngl. 😅

Love this. It sets clear expectations and the students have specific task and know what they did wrong. And I bet the parents also appreciate the transparancy.

you remind me of my homeroom teacher from last year so much! she would use the redo slips and had the same classroom vibe and i wanna use that style of classroom if i end up being a teacher

Honestly she is probably helping so many kids that do have learning disabilities.. she is creating a hard copy paper trail of what her students are dealing with.
She may be able to spot the same consistent issues in a student and that could very well be what helps push to figure out whats going on.
As someone who struggled i wish someone would have taken the time to care this much, maybe i would have gotten the help i needed.

Please consider taking off the rushing or not paying attention part. It's not really a helpful comment. I would get a lot of comments like this as a child which was really hurtful because i would always try my best but undiagnosed adhd just got in the way.

I wish my teachers had these when I was in school. The vague, REDO THIS. Without stating the problem was just mind games. At least your students will know just where they messed up and can actually correct the error. 👍

This will help the children feel like they can redo with out feeling they did it wrong & are in trouble😊

Rushing can lead to mistakes but I don’t think sloppy writing should require a redo

More teachers should do this!
It would be really helpful for the parents

That is a great idea. Not only does it help, it helps the students so learn what they miss. That's a great idea.

Why does neatness have anything to do with their work? Are they getting the right answers? Are they completing the work? That's all that should matter.

my kid would be devastated to have a paper like that stapled to her work 😢

My 5th grade teacher did this. I got a ticket because she said I was “rushing” but I just have bad handwriting.

Very clever. Youre such a dedicated teacher, these students will remember you fondly I'm sure ❤

This is a great idea, I would add like a “great job “ slip for after they redid it so their parents know they’re being praised for redoing something that they made a mistake on ❤

I feel like the piece of paper would be way better than using a red pen or marker to write redo on their work. It just seems a lot more gentle imo.
