by analogy, scrivener is like photoshop - its got a lot of powerful tools but theres a steepblearning curve and you'll probably never use all of its capabilities. there are streamlined programs that deliver good results. especially if you are a discovery writer. But for $39 you might as well buy scrivener, too. Lifetime free updates. i bought in 2016, never had to pay another dime.

I was wondering if you’d be interested in investigating AI writing tools for fiction. I wonder about plagiarism and copy right infringement since the AI uses information from the internet to generate text

Once I found out it’s creating the folders as you go along, it just makes it more complicated but easy at the same time. It also automatically compresses files to save space, which is helpful cause I start projects and return to them months or even years later.

I haven't been able to learn to like Scrivener's writing interface, but I find it very useful for things like character sheets, location sheets, and research notes.

I'm looking at getting into Scrivener. I think it's probably necessary to watch some instructional videos, just to get the hang of how it works.
