Prayer is vitally important in the life of a believer! There will be seasons of our life that require times of intense prayer to get our flesh and will out of the way so we can obey God. Even Jesus Himself agonized in prayer in the garden of Gethsemane before going to the cross. He needed that time in prayer before ultimately confessing, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine be done.” Think about it, if Jesus needed to pray, then we certainly need to pray!
