I don't know that it is a DNA thing, but it is absolutely a generational thing. People in the church always assume the best of each other, but we forget that every person in the church is still dealing with their own sin and trauma. They bring things into our congretations, even if they don't mean to, and one day, someone inevitably gets hurt because someone didn't listen to Yah or have good counsel. Transparancy would make this far less common, and when it does happen, the fault would no longer fall on the church as it does now. Im sick and tired of people being so attached to things that they refuse to rebuke evil when it happens. It breeds so much distrust that it creates an environment ripe for exploitation. Keep it in mind. If this is happening in your ministry, their body and soul are both more important than the reputation of your preacher. Remember that.
