I smoked and drank for 42 years. I tried just about everything to quit, but I could not. I gave up trying to quit. On August 5, 2010 I was home and smoked my last cigarette. I told myself "now would be a good time to quit". Right then I received the faith of a musterd seed, bowed my head and asked Jesus to take away my addictions. He did immediately and I knew it. I had zero withdrawals and I owe it all to Him. Thank you Jesus.

Never looked at it this way, but perhaps it’s a blessing I have suffered (truly) migraine headaches since the age of 5, so limited alcohol in my youth and I couldn’t tell you the last time I’ve had alcohol in 40 years. Another thing in my favor is I don’t care for the taste of alcohol and am a naturally happy person who has never needed any kind of substance to boost my happiness quotient or self-confidence.

Im glad I don't drink anymore. I come from a family of drinkers where drinking is strongly encouraged. I declined going to a labor day party because i knew what it was going to be. My niece got drunk and burned her leg on a fire pit. My nephew had to clean up puke inside the house😂. I was sleeping in my warm bed and woke up refreshe
