The tape measure lore is unexpectedly fascinating It's wild how the tape measure wraps around the Earth and Moon like that

The fact is that the astronaut didn't even dare to try taking the tape measure off the moon

The durability of that tape measure is crazy, even pulling the moon doesnt even make it get ripped in half

I love how he does these amazing vids.
The fact that the text on his tape measure is zo scribbled is so fun combined with the clean smooth vids, yeah, i like that contradiction

It's funny that, on the moon, the tape did the whole curve arround it and came back to where he was, but on the earth, wich have a much stronger atraction force, it just left straight out the atmosphere lol

The longest tape measure, meanwhile the strongest arm that holds the tape

So fun fact, the moon could never actually crash into earth, atleast not in 1 piece. The gravitational force the earth would put on the moon would rip it to shreds. We'd all still die due to multiple mass extinction events happening all at the same time, but the earth as a rock would be fine. =D

FUN FACT

It took roughly 5 seconds for the moon measuring tape to make it across the moon (6784 mi). Assuming he was at the equator that would mean that the moon measuring tape goes at a speed of 1356.7 mi/s.

The earth measuring tape takes roughly 7 seconds to make it to the moon. We are taking the average distance between the two which is 238,900 miles. That means the earth measuring tape traveled at 34,128 mi/s.

Earth is the place with the higher gravity and air resistance too.
