Kilishi is a version of jerky that originated in Hausaland. It is a dried form of suya, made from deboned cow, sheep or goat meat. Infact you can say that Kilishi is the family member of Suya that had a longer time getting dried or smoked with heat

Ingredients 👇👇
✅1 teaspoon of kanafuru
✅10 pieces wafer thin beef
✅Small pieces of fresh ginger
✅Salt
✅Stock cube
✅ 3 cloves of garlic
✅1 table spon of suya spice
✅1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper seeds
Method🤩⚙️🥰
✅Cut the beef into a very thin fillet
✅Grind the cloves (kanafuru) in a dry mill and set aside.
✅Grind the garlic and ginger in a smooth paste.
✅ Add the grinded cloves (kanafuru), cubes into the garlic and ginger.
✅ Add some water and seize it to get the extract of the seasoning.
✅ Add the cayenne pepper and the suya pepper into the paste, and then stir it.
✅Rub the kilichi or suya spice solution above into the beef fillet
✅ Heat oven to 250 degree celius(475F)
✅sprinkle small quantity(thiny) of salt on the fillet of the beef.
✅Lay your beef flat on the tray of your oven
✅Put the tray of beef into the oven and make it bake for 15min, turn the beef every 5 min for drying.
✅ Put them back into the oven and bake it for another 10-15minutes, flip it every 5 minutes for even drying.
✅The kilichi become stronger when it is cool.
