Death threats are death threats. Personally, I don't care where they come from. The minimizing of the threats is absolutely grotesque. All threats online should be taken seriously. Minimizing this just adds to the toxicity.
Be better. Nylander wasn't dragged for half a decade for his performance. Which sometimes IS lacking but somehow he always escaping criticism.
They want Marner to be liar. Because it suits a narrative in city. The media and fans want to accept zero responsibility for his leaving. The media wants to avoid it too. Just accept you had a hand in driving a player out of the city who literally just had the best season of his career. But sure, Marner's "bad play" is why the Leafs kept losing. They complain about the money so much, coming to defend a billion dollar company... by telling millionaires THEY should take less. Even though they do the work. Right.

I believe he was harshly criticized during the playoffs as NONE of the top 5 were able to perform for the money they receive. Very hard to criticize a hundred point guy. All the noise got to him and he wasn't built to handle criticism! I'm sad he is gone but his choice!
