Good sermon excerpt. Add to that the comments of Madalyn Murray O'Hair decades ago when she said that especially during the Christmas season she would slip in to a Christian church just to hear and sometimes sing along with the Christmas carols.
Add to that the scary "admission" in at least two of his speeches [can be heard on You Tube]
wherein Adolf Hitler describes himself as a Christian. (Previews of ol' "Anti").
Add to that the last page of Pilgrim's Progress wherein Ignorance, having "eaten and drank in the presence of the King" (Jesus) and having crossed into the next life and now standing at the entrance gate to Heaven is instead bound and sent straight to Hell because he too was only a cultural Christian.
Yes, a Christian culture is the very best place to live. But Jesus is not one to be flattered. To really be a citizen of the Kingdom one must come to Jesus in repentance and faith. He must know us. We must know Him.

Yeah, a worldview that consigns everyone that does not believe this worldview to eternal conscious torment is a great worldview with which to live. Maybe for morons who have no idea of right and wrong, but for any sane person who understands a bit about morality, such a worldview is depraved. That's not the kind of worldview that gives you freedom of religion and expression, which I am sure is something that Richard Dawkins particularly likes. Music, cathedrals... That's not what Western civilization is about. Aesthetics is superfluous. There are much important values to consider.
