Done this as a 10 year old. When you live on a farm and your family owns their own firest and they cut a lot of trees down and you always go to help you learn a lot of hacks, like with anything. Not that this is a safe thing to do, so not advisable at all to prople eho weren't raised chopping trees down or even regular tradesman without tree cutting experience.
