**LEADVILLE PREMIERE**

Join me on the Leadville 100 miles premiere on Youtube - this Friday August 30, 6:30pm PT. Yup, I'll be taking this one from the airport ahead of our next adventure. Very excited to share this one - Leadville is always a special time of the year for us where we get to see our friends in colorado and push our limits to earn that shiny buckle!

Leadville 100 Miles - Follow me as I run my 12th 100 miles ultra marathon of 2024 - The Race Across the Sky! An historical and challenging race at high altitude in the Colorado Mountains.

Leadville 100 Miles ultramarathon is both a fast and speedy course, but also include some serious trail running going up to 12,500 ft of elevation. This is my 4th attempt, having completed for the Grand Slam (2x) and Leadman. But despite my experience, this is a challenging race that keeps you on your toes all day long. The cut offs are tight, and altitude running is challenging for a sea level dweller. Plus, it's only been 2 weeks since my last race - Angeles Crest 100 Miles (and 2 weeks before the other, ...and so on). 30 hours will be mighty difficult, but I'm up for the task!

The course is a in-and-out 50 miles starting in the historical western town of Leadville colorado, follows a relatively flat trail around Lake Turkoise, goes on the country side up until Twin Lake 40 miles further down. But that's where the fun begins - the notorious climb up Hope Pass...twice!

What's more, we have a bunch of friends racing this year. I'm both excited and nervous for everyone - we're all seasoned runners, but you never know what is waiting for you on these races. And sure enough...we all had challenging day. But then again, we all found it within ourselves to keep pushing past adversity and overcome all challenges of this ultra marathon. Actually would you believe it after watching this movie - I'm actually the one that had the 'smoothest' day of the group!

Next race is Tor Des Geants - 200 miles in the Italian Alps on Sept 8-14. And rigth before this, we're hiking Tour du Mont-Blanc in France, Switzerland and Italy. So stay tuned!
