I have to agree with you! Rev Dan! In many ways it is precarious! Someone suggested that I should leave the Church of England. But I turned it down because as a church chorister I want to find a way to save the Church of England. I have admitted that might be an uphill task but I uphold the Chorister Prayer as well! And my argument for that is based there.
St Francis of Assisi is the patron saint in three respects.
(1): Animals
(2): Children
And finally!!!
(3): Choristers!
To that end! I believe to save the Church of England is to remain part of it! I will STILL call for the Archbishop of York to stand down! On belief that he has committed too many mistakes! And whilst I still believe in dealing with issues ! I will be wary of doing so from the perspective of the same!

John Stott used to say in one of his sermons that it is better to fight for the Truth leaving unity behind, instead of working for unity and leaving the Truth behind.

I think the answer is in orthodoxy and in the evangelical. A middle way that follows the tenants of sacraments as well as evangical promotion of Christ in faith. We ignored the teachings of Paul and look what happened.....Blessings😊 I don't think you can

Personally, I think that no matter what denomination a church is, it's fine as long as the Word is spoken and the Holy Spirit is working. When I was active, I aimed to be a church that can offer such a sacrament that can lift the burden of the heart when receiving it. Preaching a Gospel is a job from God that is assigned not only to church leaders but to each and every one of us. I think that the church is a place where the Holy Spirit who dwells within each person interacts through each person during the service and before and after it. I think that Catholics and Anglican churches are very easy to understand because they have a form. The charismatic church I grew up in was a pioneering mission, so there wasn't even a cross in the place we used. But the Lord was working. The Holy Spirit once told me that if people try too hard, there will be no room for Holy Spirit to work. I think it's okay not to think too much, do what you can, and then leave the rest to the Lord. The flock where God is working is the church, like C of England, it's warm. Even if you come from outside. I like your church and am influenced very much. I prefer C of England, if possible. Thank you!
