Really like what you guys are doing, educating the viewer about lighting and how it can affect what your are trying to PID with CRI.
Regarding the Olight, honestly I just don’t feel comfortable having a weapon light that is made for duty use, from a company that makes regular EDC gear.
I’m not knocking Olight… I’m just saying, you have to make sure your product is made for what you’re marketing the product to be and be sure the product performs as it should.
As for me, Surefire all the way, and if I can’t afford an X300, than Streamlight TLR-1 HL.

It appears to me that the hand picked sample (#1) from Olight has a more defined hot spot than the production model purchased one's. The guy in the video didn't even appear to be as bothered by the purchased production samples.

I picked up one of these new olights during the introductory 30% sale. I got another twenty bucks off for my military discount. It ended up costing me $42. Given that the performance of the Olight and the Surefire are very close, and that the O actually OUTperforms the Surefire significantly in some categories, it is a complete and total no-brainer.
Olight for me.
(this is coming from a former infantryman and private investigator who relied on the performance of his flashlights with his life for 20 years)
