How can you tell if a news article or scientific study is high quality or not? In today's video, I am going to break down an article that a member sent to me entitled "Keto Diet Doubles the Risk of Heart Attack, Stroke: Study found on WebMD's website. I have linked the full article below.

My member was concerned because he’s seen a ton of articles like this, demonizing the ketogenic diet and was really curious to know if he should be concerned about them.

And while I’m not a doctor or a researcher, I have learned over the years how to interpret whether a study is high-quality or low quality. And I think this is a skill that everybody needs to know, especially because there are a lot of sensational headlines out there that are pushing very low quality studies as being gold standard, when they are 100% not.

I hope you enjoy this video and if you come across any articles or studies that you would like me to break down, send them my way eighter on Instagram at MamaMitich or email at mamamitich@gmail.com

the word Keto was coined by the Mayo Clinic in the 30's to refer to its dietary treatment to epilepsy. Before anti-epileptic drugs it was the only option. The percentage may have been decided using epileptic kids.

It's not just keto articles. It seems like anything you read now is just the opinion of whoever wrote the article. It's so out of hand. 👎
