To be Honest The idea for the 747-700X Full Double decker with the Iconic hump just before reaching the Vertical Stabilizer (Tail) was inspired by The Boeing 747 DreamLifter, Had the Airbus A380's Cockpit would have been designed and placed higher coinciding with the Upper Deck just like Boeing 747 as well as Upper Deck redesigned for Carrying Heavy Cargoes for its Freighter variant would have been Successful , They could have looked forward for A380 shrink versions Twinjets, The Boeing 747-500X and -600X could have been redesigned as Twinjet With more Powerful Engines than the GE9X , could have solved the issue although could have limited it to 500 units for 500X and 600 units for 600X , 700X Double decker pre Tail Section Hump couldn't have been Twinjet bu t rather the Conventional Quadjet with 2 Electronic/Hydro powered/ Solar powered engines , which could have meant maximum fueling cycles only for 1/2 Left wing engins and same for right side purpose, the Boeing should bring back newer 717s by studying the Undeveloped DC-9s, MD-80s MD-90s, B717 variants rather than churning for clean sheet design yes only difference is those Undeveloped Variants would have modern control systems, Less Noisy engines , Boeing should also bring back 727 in a Twinjet Variants -300,-400, -500LR and -600 SER( Super Extended Range) , the 727-600 SER Twinjet would be Long Widebodied most likely between B777-300 and B777-400 (Unexplored variant)
