I just can't get excited about these mint errors. The 1955 DD and 1937 3-legged buffalo have historical significance. OK... but now there's so many variations out there, it's mind numbing.

Hi Daniel. For me, it's circulated, common date Morgans. I like a nice MS coin. I like the CCs. I really like proofs. But circulated, even key date circulated, doesn't really get me excited.

I really like the 1797 pence and two pence from Great Britain. They're often referred to as cartwheels. Containing an ounce and two ounces of copper respectively they were much too heavy to be used as small change. But they're often found with considerable wear on one side only. That's because they were the cheapest and most readily available scale weights for one or two ounces. Allegedly some found with massive rim dings are from being used as a thrown weapon in bar fights.

Frankly I think all US coinage since the abandonment of Liberty's image has been dull and unimaginative. For a circulating coin I would say the cent is easily the worst offender. For a collector coin the Morgan dollar is overrated, and was deliberately overproduced for a population who, generally, did not want it.

The US mint needs to step up. I see foreign coins in change that puts US change to shame. It's time to scrap the old for something new. I've been collecting the EURO Stickman coin since the first time I saw it.

Several coins don't appeal to me. Hate is a strong word but dislike is more how I feel. 1st the entire barber coinage. unappealing to me. 2nd Modern memorial zinc cents. Ugh. 3rd Current women's designs on quarters. When will this end? The only quarters that got me excited were the elusive W quarters. 4th Eisenhower dollars just blah to me. Same with all modern dollars since. OK maybe these I do hate.

I hate Morgan dollars.. Everyone always asks me why and I think the Peace dollar is the supermodel of all coins, even better than the walking liberty/ASE.. The Peace is just a beautiful coin imo the Morgan is like an overweight cousin..

Pre 1982..I like them all pretty much. If I had to pick, it's Jefferson Nickels....not that I know anyone who LOVES them though. lol

Morgan dollars…I get it, because they’re beautiful, but they don’t do it for me. Just personal preference.
