We were recently gifted a booklet called "What the Beginner need to know about Archery" produced by the bowmaker Ayres. The leaflet originally came from Lillywhites of London, a department store dating back to the 1800s, they had a broad spectrum of sports goods and are still in existence today. Ayers were a very well know factory producing Longbows, Flatbows and arrows etc, the booklet is very quaint and of its time, though most of the practical advice is still relevant today, join us as we step back in time, take a look at the booklet and some of the equipment and materials direct from the Ayres factory. A big thanks the person (you know who you are) who donated the booklet.
