My experience with hair loss following my cancer/chemotherapy was pretty devastating but I’m hoping I can finally put that all behind me! 😁

Before I had cancer, my hair was a major part of my identity. I loved styling my hair in the morning before heading to school and using different products to get my hair to look the way I want it to. To me, my hair was what completed my look. 💇🏻‍♂️

After my chemotherapy treatment, my hair didn’t grow back to the same thickness. I spoke with my oncologist and dermatologists and they said that it was too soon after my chemo to predict whether my hair will come back the same or not. 🤷🏻‍♂️

After a couple years, it still never came back. I took oral medications (Finasteride/Minoxidil), topical creams, and even tried Scalp Micropigmentation to try to cover up my balding scalp but none of them seemed to work. But on my 24th birthday, I decided to try one last thing before going completely bald, and that’s using a Hair System. 💆🏻‍♂️

I only get to live through my 20s once in my life and I already lived 4 of those years feeling insecure and always worried about what the top of my head looks like. With this new change, I feel more at peace with myself and I’m slowly but surely regaining my confidence! ✌🏽
