I guess my question was, is the employer entitled to disclose that he is in a middle of a lawsuit with the employee, when prospective employers call to check reference. Is that also considered violating the employee privacy? My understanding is when a prospective employers want to reference check an employee they are specifically asking about their employment history, work performance, and their title? NOT whether the employee was in a lawsuit or not? Can you guys make us a video on that topic?

I recently heard my prior employer was bragging that he blocked me from a job. I was fired after going to the union on my Director for racism harassment bullying and sexual harassment. The fired me and did not investigate. I'm in NYC any recommendations?
