I remember reading about a guy who came here from Puerto Rico - a US Territory. All Puerto Ricans are US Citizens. He tried to rent a car, rental car place refused to let him until he showed them his passport. He tried explaining to them that he did not have his passport with him, as Puerto Rico is considered part of the United States. They refused, and called the cops on him.
The lawsuit is ongoing. 🤣

I actually recently learned that I only needed my ID to move from New York to Tennessee my family always made me think you need a passport to go everywhere even in the states 😂

She says you need a passport “to go on an international flight” to Hawaii. When I looked it up, if the plane is stopping at somewhere outside the US like Canada or Mexico as well as Hawaii, you DO need your passport - depends on the type of flight.

Only if the plane makes a direct flight, you don't need a passport.
If it makes a stop in another country, you need your passport (even if you don't go outside the airplane).

Hawaii no passport needed BUT you DO need one if you go to Alaska. Bc you have to go through another country to get there.
