I always hate the eyelid stings. Walk around like a prize fighter for awhile. Usually happens when you are doing something totally unrelated, like putting food out and you get one lone bee with an attitude!

I have an idea for you. Next time please try to help the bee escape WITH the stinger. I saw a video from another beekeeper and she let the bee run around in circles and they escaped with the stinger. Or carry a tweezer with you to help get out the stinger together with the bee xD
