I agree with everything except they can tell the difference between lab grown and mined. Also DeBeers started making Lab grown diamond's to compete with the others, but people are buying so much man-made stones that DeBeers can't sell there mined ones for the outrageous prices, as before, so they took the mined diamond's off the market and are just trying to unload their Lab grown stones. Instead of just selling their natural diamond's at a lower price, they're holding on to them hoping the market will change back into their favor.

Ok this is not completely true. Frist, almost all "Gem Quality" facetable stones are rare according to size, clarity, and color. Second, the depositions that diamonds form in like a kimberlite are rare ( think about it, have you ever found a rough diamond on the ground?). Last, man made diamond are distinguished by lack of inclusion and lack of fluorescence in most cases. In conclusion, man made diamond are usually not as durable and require a lot of energy to produce so they are not exactly environment friendly either so to say that a natural large, clear, orange or red diamond is not rare is simple not true.

Never liked diamonds. They’re boring, unlike sapphire or emerald! They are extremely beautiful and have a character to them.
