God I remember when this was broadcast... I'm non-binary myself, and the stories in the news that followed were deeply upsetting. I remember listening to classmates laughing at how you were 'owned' by Piers Morgan, when he refused to listen to your grounded, rational attempts to explain while he undermined you, and tried to paint you as ridiculous. It made me so unbearably angry and hurt that even today, it makes my blood boil. I've had many debates with similar people since, though nowhere near as public as yours, and it is nervewracking trying to justify, not just your existence, but the existence of non-binary and trans folks in general to someone who has closed their mind so completely. My hats off to you both that you went through all this on television and remained so composed! đłď¸ââ§ď¸ đłď¸
