Hrmm ive never had an issue with supports, you need to play with the advanced settings and control the space between the print and the supports and you can get easy remove supports or supports that dont leave visable marks.

If you need to remove hard supports then use a heat gun and needle nose and it can get most hard to remove supports off.

The hardest supports to remove are the supports inside a tube if you print something like a triple tall shot glass upside down. They make dissolvable support material, but ive had success just determine the orientation, support placement, and layerline strength direction.

Supports are worse when you print petg CF or nylon CF, and its a waste of material but if you learn how to place your own supports and figure out what the range of your printer in you can use strategically placed supports or merge 2 files for custom supports.

The only time id use breakaway is if i had a dual extruder and i was on a time limit of only a couple hours before i have to hit start but after you figure out how to use supports in the program you can instantly tell what needs to be done and how it can be done and set it up within about 20 minutes anyways.

And for 30 bucks a roll on average its truly only for when you are printing PEEK or ULTEM or in my case Tullomer id splurge for anything that can help reduce waste so i guess its turly for those use cases.

Breakaway filament should be used only as the interface layer.

This way one spoolwill last a really long time and even on your other video where you tried petg for the same effect using it on the interface layer they literally slide off super easy even at 0 z seopration and 100% density for the interface.

You can adjust your z height for supports. You don't need to pay extra for that stuff. 😊

I found that tree supports work the best and are easy to remove, they do add a bit of Time to your print though πŸ˜…

I only use it for like the top layer because its crazy expensive comparing to normal filament and petg is allright to use as support for pla but I'd rather use support pla because of the changing temps.

It's crazy how the newest snap maker printer is getting IDEXX which is an ancient technology. People need to stop supporting that company

If your print is fused properly, scaring can't happen. This seems like it can be useful, but not practical.
