I’m half black and half Mexican so my mom being Mexican definitely made a mix of different foods for my dad, but for her rice she does make it a bit different so maybe you can try it out
Everything you put already but just add black pepper, garlic powder and comino and a little bit of cilantro in the middle while you let it boil and it definitely adds a different flavor. You can even add corn and ground beef, that’s a Mexican dish we eat with tortillas 😅
But your food looks delicious

Cleaning as you go is the only way! I also put the food in covered serving dishes, so at the end of the evening and dinner is over the kitchen is clean. All you have to do is put the leftovers in the fridge. ❤️🌹❤️
