I just love the way you parent. My god is such a freedom really, and my God that the kids grow up with great self-esteem and they're sure of themselves This is a wonderful way to parent

I love that. Thats what Im after. I just dont know how to effect the change toward that in this chaos constructed home. We are living with dad, but I am his room mate. The boys stay eith me, I do all the things, dad stuff when he feels like it. π’

What about when you don't have the emotional bandwidth to be obligated to make it up to them later on? Is a sincere apology enough? When I mess up I verbalize it to my girls and admit my wrong and apologize for making them feel stressed bc of my stress. On a busy day when there is so much to do, I worry about making an empty promise when it might not always be practical to play a game to make it up to them.

I like this, when I was a kid, I was treated like my voice, who I am didn't matter.
I promised myself when I had kids, I would make sure their voice mattered, who they are mattered, their opinions and wants and needs were heard!
I'm the leader however a great leader hears their subordinates with grace, were a team, not a oligarchy or kingdom or monarch, were a team and that's it! β€β€β€β€β€β€πππβ€οΈππ©΅

Love this! Was raised by verry authoritarian parants it was their way ot the highway, never had a voice. I stitt struggle as an adult speaking up at times. I want to teach my children that they can have a voice whilst still being parented. Love yout videos they help me so much
