while the idea of animatronic characters at a pizza parlor for kids was def not original to fnaf, there were others that existed prior to chuck e cheese. matpat made a video on this when fnaf first came out, but as more games came out it was obvious that Scott Coffin didnt have the Chuck e cheese incident in mind by that point.

As a Chuck E. Cheese fanatic, I’m beyond proud of you for telling a true story here. The location this horrible incident happened at was the Aurora, Colorado location during December. 4 of the 5 people attacked tragically lost their lives. The killer’s name was Nathan Dunlap. This situation was terrible and it makes me beyond happy to know that this was the only time any sort of murder happened in a Chuck E. Cheese establishment.

Why are people spreading misinformation!? FNAF was NOT inspired by what this short claims. The true inspiration came from a review on Scott Cawthon's older games, Chipper and sons lumber co. Basically the person left a bad review and said that the characters looks like creepy animatronics, so there you go. People, if you have brains just please don't listen to this BS!
