This is the best team since LaVonte David graduated. Suh and David elevated the whole defense. Without them, Pelini’s teams could not compete with the best teams. In 2025 we play Michigan, USC, and Penn St. Iowa and Minnesota will give our DL trouble. This is a tougher schedule than what Pelini teams had. The Big 10 was weak when we first joined, but the defense Bo ran was built for the Big 12. The Big 10 is more diverse now., especially since the PAC 10 quartet joined. But we really need a couple of 300 lb DL.

2016 was a paper tiger. We are better than all of Riley and Frost teams without a doubt. Ekeler effect is still brewing. Holgerson effect already showing in the pass game. With Snow and Butler having secondary experience, it is no surprise our secondary is looking better. We have no Tommi Hill’s on the team, but I see them working together and trusted depth developing.

I have such a hard time with 2021. The amount of NFL talent that came out of the roster 15-20 people. I honestly feel that time was quite possible better but was missing a DC to make it a top 5 team in the country.

Did what good teams do to bad teams. Dominate in every aspect of the game. These are games that in the past we would win 30-10 but it was 17-7 at half. Confidence booster, get another one against Houston Christian, then figure out if you are the real deal against Michigan.

Saw some positives from Dylan and a few defensive players. Really like the TE play. Need more seam, post patterns. Will hold my enthusiasm until the bigger boys come knocking. With a transfer portal, I dont need to be patient and waiting over 25 years and $100 millions is long enough.

I don't know about that. The thing I will say is that we beat the team that we should have, hands down. That is a change from previous years where our team plays down to the competition. That being said, wait until we play Michigan for the barometer check. If this team plays to their potential again similar or better talent, then I will agree with you. Our D line has to improve, our Corners are holding a little to much and that will bite us in tight games, and our O line needs to be able to hold up better to do the type of passing we do.
