This rotifer has 6 eggs and is one one the largest rotifers I've seen. This rotifer was found in my composter that creates great fertilizer for raised bed vegetable gardens from kitchen scraps. This video was taken with an Olympus CX-23 microscope with a total magnification of 100x. The scale on the top is in mm, and the scale on the left side is in microns. The dorsal antenna can be seen in the first 3 seconds of the video. It can also be seen at the end of the video. Rotifers are great composters because they can consume 10,000 bacteria per day.
