I totally agree! I've seen a company start the tough work of developing a "genuine" land acknowledgment (as genuine as a business with very few indigenous members can be). Then, to abruptly pull it when a new project completely is in opposition to the indigenous significance of a proposed site. Very disheartening.

I appreciate Navaho author Mark Charles and his perspective on PITS. I am in the US, and we aren't even close to having conversations about native topics. Good work to Canada for getting the ball rolling. There's German saying: "Aller Anfang ist schwer." (Every beginning is difficult.)
