Still have mine, it's in close to perfect condition as yours, except mines the last version of Game Gear made by Majesco. Only thing I did to mine was get a new glass screen cover cause the original plastic one was scratched up pretty badly! Awesome you still have to original box to yours! 👍

Sonic 2 on Game Gear wasn't that good, in that one Sega threw all kinds of weird gimmicks (mine cart, hang gliding, etc.) in the game and all those does just makes the game worst. Ironically when Nintendo does mine cart in Donkey Kong Country and glider in Mario Kart 7 & 8 they did it right.

I remember getting mine, and so Sonic 2 was the first Sonic game I ever played. A rude awakening as it is such a hard game, but it’s now one of my favourites, mostly because of how brilliant the soundtrack is!
