Some diseases, like urinary tract infections (UTIs), blood infections, pneumonia, and typhoid, are becoming increasingly difficult to treat as the bacteria causing them no longer respond to common antibiotics. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)'s Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance Network (AMRSN) annual report, antibiotics commonly used for treating infections like pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory infections, and diarrhea are becoming less effective.
