I agree that sugar can ruin your cut as it makes you crave more food and eating too much at once can cause a crash and cause more craving. However, as long as you have the will power to stay under your calorie deficit, you'll still loose weight despite eating sugar. Insulin is a big myth for weigh loss and I only heard a Hollywood trainer ever promoting this. You just need to be aware how much calories you take and you'll loose weight!! And if you don't like to track your calories, is best just to take the daily amount recommend. Around ~25 grams.

Actually, sugar is only a problem because you can easily over eat it and create a calorie surplus. There is evidence to show that you can indeed loose weight (and fat) on a high carb/high sugar diet. That said it is important to control your intake of processed sugary foods and consume more complex carbs in your diet BUT it is not a good message to spread that eating sugar regularly will prevent your body from burning fat. If in a calorie deficit, you WILL loose weight, no matter what you eat, but sugar isnt enough to make your body function at its fullest though.
That said i hope it wasn't too long to read and i hope i can help someone with that, and i really like your content

I am not a medical expert and thereās only so much you can put inside 1 min video so do more research on your own to learn more :D
- *Complex and simple carbohydrates:*Ā Complex carbohydrates are broken down into glucose more slowly than simple carbohydrates. This means that they usually cause a slower rise in insulin levels. Complex carbohydrates are found in foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. Simple carbohydrates are found in foods such as sugary drinks, candy, and processed foods.
- *Insulin as a gatekeeper:*Ā Insulin is a hormone that helps the body use glucose for energy. It does this by opening the doors of cells so that glucose can enter. If there is too much glucose in the blood, insulin will also move glucose to the liver and muscles for storage.
- *Insulin resistance:*Ā Insulin resistance is a condition in which the cells do not respond normally to insulin. This means that glucose cannot enter the cells and is instead stored as fat. Insulin resistance can lead to type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and other health problems.
- *Glycemic index (GI):*Ā The glycemic index is a measure of how quickly a food raises blood sugar levels. Foods with a high GI cause a rapid rise in blood sugar levels, while foods with a low GI cause a slower rise. It shows speed, so is not an accurate representation of how much it raises. Both speed and amount is important.

I am all for this. I am a med expert with a background on nutrition so I will add a few cents. Sugar (sucrose = glucose x 2) + fiber + water (found in whole fruits) are great. They come in a nutrient and antioxidant rich package and keep you full and healthy. Complex carbs eventually break down into glucose (sugar) and get digested at a slower rate. As you refine these sources into juices or refined grains and flours (of nay kind, even whole flours), they digest easier and for people with weight problems, it does hamper your satiety from these foods. Now, noone (hopefully) is eating just sugar by the spoon. We think of donuts, cookies, cakes and brownies when we think of sugary foods. And sodas and candies too. What do most of them also have? Refined flours and lots of refined fats (not whole olives/cashews/avocado/nuts). My point is, ultra-processed foods are not good for you. It isn't just sugars or fats or emulsifiers or stabilizers or artificial ingredients. Insulin is raised even with protein. French fries raise less insulin than plain baked potato. If I eat only 500 calories of either, I am going to lose weight no matter what. Insulin doesn't matter. Too much insulin causing diabetes is a myth. Ultra processed foods and excessive calories intake leading to mini fat droplets in the muscle and liver causes insulin resistance. You could be 115 lbs and have diabetes like my relatives or be 300 lbs and not have it. It depends on genetics and loads of other factors, not just sugar intake per day. Even though I pointed out all these things, if you are eating something for the soul, eat it. Try to focus on adding more whole and low calorie dense foods into the diet too rather than thinking about cutting out everything. If you like having brownies, eat it. Share it, have some healthy foods alongside and make better choices. Avoid sugar and other refined foods because they do not support good health, not just because of insulin.
People pay thousands of dollars for insulin cause they need it to live. They would collapse, go into coma and die without it. I am grateful my body reacts to sugar by increasing insulin in my body. I will cherish it every time.

I agree but if you want to eat that brownie eat that brownie. I think pulling yourself away from sugar or carbs whatever people think are the enemy. Will only make want that thing more which will most likely lead to a late night binge.sometimes your mental health has to come first.
