AITA for telling my aunt her miscarriage doesn’t make her “special”?
I, 18 female, have an aunt, 48 female, who recently had a miscarriage. My sister, 12 female, has been really hyped up about her 13th birthday this July. I admit it’s still far away from now, but she’s turning into a teen, so I can see why she’s so excited.
Today I came home from school to find my sister in tears. Her school isn’t open right now. When I asked her what’s wrong, she said our aunt said that she wasn’t special, and that it’s irritating hearing her talk about it and that she’s being selfish.
My aunt’s baby was supposed to be born the same day as my sister. I know it must be hard for her, but I got mad that she would say that to a little girl, so I went in there to comfort her. I asked my aunt what made her think she could do that, and she said she just had a miscarriage and to leave her alone. I told her that just because she had a miscarriage doesn’t mean that she gets to treat every kid with the same birthday like poo. She got mad and yelled at me that she was hurting. And this is maybe the part where I’m the bad guy.
I told her that she may be hurting but she’s also not special, and that her problems don’t mean that she can lash out and be a B-word to everyone else.
My aunt left crying and calling me the bad guy.
So, am I TAH?

Um what's it take to slap on a shirt, just saying. I don't know how damn bossy the MIL is but she sounds like how my parents, my dad, was. As a kid if you weren't at the table in a nano second the whole world would fall apart, IT WAS INSANE.( except my brother, he could waltz in whenever he wanted, like WTF) So if showing up topless was a form of protest to MIL instant demands, then IDK, NTA If it worked and MIL quit being all demanding. Honestly she should just tell MIL to GET OVER IT. MIL is in OPs home and it's OPs rules. Baby needs first then dinner, lunch or whatever. End of subject.
