I’m rooting for Sudan. I’m always rooting for the underdog, or underrated team, I think Sudan will do fairly well in afcon. Sucks for Ghana though. Hopefully they redeem themselves in the World Cup qualifiers, as afcon has almost no chance, with Angola already confirmed to qualify

What's even crazier is on paper their group qualifiers should have been a breeze. Angola have never made it past the quarterfinals in any AFCON tournament and Sudan literally have a civil war going on (heck, both Niger and Sudan can't even play in their own country).
For world cup qualification that match against Comoros next October will be crucial. It would be crazy if even with the expansion of the number of African teams, Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria fail to qualify.
