My best friend threw me a small, tasteful bridal shower and my husband and his groomsmen got together after the rehearsal dinner and chilled and played video games. That is all we wanted. We kept the wedding small (50 people including wedding party) with LoTR music for the ceremony and a Star Wars reception. Simple and fun, less than $5k and drama free.
Ten years later we still enjoy relaxing and playing video games and being nerdy together.

Good friends were getting married and we (the bridesmaids) secretly planned the Bachelor and bachelorette party as one party together. Because none of them would have loved a "Classic" Bachelor/bachelorette party. The bride didn't tell us what she wanted explicitly so we told her we would drink and party (I think she stopped believing us when we mentioned a stripper because she would NEVER). But it was so much fun to mislead her and then meet with the rest of the party and see their two faces just happy to be with each other 🥰

I've been married twice and neither time have I or the groom had a bachelor or bachelorette party. (I was too young to see the red flags for the first one, okay. He has since remarried as well and already divorced for the second time. I'm very happy with my second husband.)
