Here are a few things you can do during your college life that will guarantee that your resume stands out as a fresher.
(These are based on my experience and observations and can help you in a smooth transitioning from campus to corporate.)

📄 Look beyond getting a degree: Make sure you are a part of atleast one co-curricular activity which is not related to academics. The more, the merrier. It talks a lot about your own personality and it shows that you have hobbies and interests.
📄 Active Researcher: Make sure to show interest in research. Try writing articles, research papers and dissertations. In case you have paucity of time, it could just be short articles but give it your best shot and most importantly, try to get it published.
📄 On the go communication practice: Try to get yourself involved in any opportunity that might involve teaching, communicating, public speaking. A platform that can help you boost your confidence and helps you gain enough practice that by the time it’s time for placements or interviews, you are a good communicator because it’s one of the most important skill during an interview.
📄 Workshops/ Seminars: Most of us feel that we are forced to be a part of it but even if the topic doesn’t interest you, it helps you build great listening skills. Good Listening skills are extremely crucial and most people lack it. Make the most out of the opportunity. Attend these seminars, ask questions, be attentive.
This will benefit you in 4 ways:

 3.⁠ ⁠When you ask questions it gives you the confidence to communicate effectively.

📄 Multiple Internships: Most colleges make sure that you complete one mandatory internship in the course of three years. It’s usually during your second year summer break. I would suggest, make the most out of all your summer breaks which will help you do atleast 3 internships in 3 years. डूइंग internships, especially in the fields you’re interested in and want to pursue a job in definitely gives you an edge over others.
