I'm 25 with no family, no (IRL) friends, and some very heavy depression and loneliness. Especially this time of year. Even worse that my last 4 Holiday Seasons have been in a homeless shelter, and this will be #5. I only found you last month, but a gesture like that is helpful beyond words. So thanks.

I found myself alone on Christmas Eve about 15 years ago. A friend's family found out and invited me over right away. It was incredible. I lost contact after graduation.
Last week I went to kids sport with my second son and there was that family's dad. He was there with my old friend's son.
After it was over, I sat next to him in the locker room and let him know how much that meant to me and that I still think about this evening a lot.
