Not every food product that seems to be healthy is actually Healthy.
1. Plant Based Milk - Most of the store bought ones are not clean. Usually they have sweeteners, additives, preservatives stabilizers, etc. added to it to extend it's shelf life, texture and flavour. Honestly, to ensure a 100% clean and natural product, it is best to make your own coconut or almond milk at home.
2. Brown Bread - It is no less than white bread. It is nothing but basically brown color or molasses added to maida bread. The better healthy alternative is to take sordough bread if it is available, or you can take chapati instead. Try to limit your bread intake in general and whenever you are taking it, make sure you add a lot of veggies to it for good intake of fibre and nutrients which altogether will ensure a lesser impact on your insulin and blood sugar level.
3. Fruit juices - Fruit juice mostky lacks fibre and is usually high in fructose (which is difficult for your body to process at one go). Packaged fruit juices are even more worse as it contains a lot of sugar and additives added to it. Therefore, it is best to stick around to whole fruits in its raw form.
4. Breakfast Cereal - No matter how much it claims to be healthy, it is actually not. Most of them are loaded with added sugar or unhealthy sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, and other additives. If you are falling for dried fruits and nuts or fortified nutrients, it is better that you opt for more natural healthy options rather than the processed food. You can opt for overnight / veg oats or veg dalia as one of the healthier alternatives.
Basically, all of these sweeteners, additives, chemicals, etc. added to the product messes with your gut microflora and hormonal balance. Make sure you choose your food options wisely.
I hope this helps. ā¤ļø
